Because I got inspired by a series of photos my friend sent me but also, a ‘what if Wukong managed to catch Macaque’ or ‘what if Macaque didn’t immediately melt into the shadows’ kind of thing… idk

Tried natural light for this one, I dunno which version I like better

Also I like to imagine Chang’e gradually changing Macaque into more and more feminine hanfus just because

I wanted to put a Casey Jr. somewhere in my au, and I finally figured out where.

I mean, technically he's already in it, but this Casey Jr. here is specifically from Mikey's timeline. Meaning he's not going to die.

I decided to give these poor traumatized beans a cute little nephew because heaven knows how much I love my "poor traumatized beans and their cute little nephews" dynamic.

And yes, Casey has adorable baby names for all of them.

and Leo is Ebo

your pearl is one of my favorite designs for her i’ve ever seen <3 her face shape feels so right, and i love how you draw her hair. by way of a request, have you ever drawn her as an avian?

ive done a bit of practice with pearl and grian as avians but that was way before i started posting hc publicly! ( these ones are new :D )

also played around with an alternate version! i dont know much about birds but i saw the australian barn owl and took more inspo from them

Throughout the Odyssey, Odysseus had placed Penelope at a high pedestal. His devotion so ground breaking that he’s willing to go through so many lengths to meet his wife — a being so pure and bright in his eyes.

As years go on, Odysseus only sees her as this beam of hope, talking of himself as a tainted figure in comparison; unable to find any reason to push forward if it were not for his Polaris. Ultimately having situations, like in the musical, where he begs for Penelope in his dreams to see him as no different to the man she once loved. In fear that if he does come back, he had become too corrupt and disproportionate for her to recognize.

Mind that I like to think he had forgotten that time has changed her too — making her wiser and more cunning. The Penelope he talks of when influencing himself and others is only a still portrait of her younger self from when he had left Ithaca.
